IT equipments

Servers

  • 2 Windows 2003 Active Directory servers: DNS server, CRM2’s own domain, DHCP server with IP assignment according to MAC address
  • LDAP server which allows the deployment of a roaming Home directory.
  • SVN server to manage the evolution of versions and allow synchronization between developers.
  • SSH server, secure gateway to the lab
  • DHCP server under Debian for an isolated “guest” network.
  • Apache Web server, dedicated to the laboratory intranet
  • Bacula server for data backup (Debian)
  • Cups server for printers (3 printers under Linux Debian using lprng).
  • 2 software servers (crystallographic databases, scientific software …)
  • Jenkins server for automatic daily compilation of the MoPro software suite developed in the laboratory.
  • Inventory server (Linux Debian using OCSInventory)

Computers

In addition to the use of national computing centers, some researchers of the laboratory use local computers:

  • 1 Beowulf Linux (CentOS) cluster with 15 dual-processor Intel XEON DP 3.06 GHz compute nodes
  • 1 Linux (CentOS) compute cluster with 20 dual-processor Intel Xeon nodes
  • 1 Linux compute cluster (Debian) with 4 Intel Xeon E5430 nodes
  • 3 Dell Precision 690 dual processor workstations (Linux Debian and Redhat Enterprise)
  • 8 workstations (Linux)

Personal computers

  • 119 machines: 99 Windows, 18 Linux, 2 Macintosh
  • 3 Dell 3D stereo graphics stations
  • 1 mixed 3D stereo graphics/computing station (Dual-bicore HP XW6400)

Shared computers

The common workstations are available to trainees and visiting researchers. There are 10 computers (6 under Windows, 2 under Linux, 2 under Unix).

Network

The entire network within the laboratory is managed by the department.
